I didn't have to go far (literally, only a couple houses down) to find a fabulous family to feature for this month's client post. One of the bright spots of 2020 was meeting the Callies family and taking photos of little Rylee (then only 3 months old!) We've easily had more than half-a-dozen shoots since then and somehow they have always gone amazingly well. I'm always excited when I see these guys on my calendar (or just down the block!) Ali was very kind to share some words (and favorite photos) about our session experiences.
Tell me a bit about you and your family! Who are you guys and what do you enjoy doing?
Hello! We are Ali and Corey Callies. We are high school sweethearts with two littles. Rylee is almost three and Kieran is one. We enjoy traveling and spending time at our family cabin & family hobby farm.
You and your family always come to sessions looking great and ready to roll! How do you prep your family for picture day
I usually have outfits picked out far in advance, so the day of seems to go pretty smoothly!
We've shot in such a mix of locations, in-home, on the family farm, at the beach, etc. Do you have any favorite sessions?
I think our favorite session so far has been the beach session. It was marking Rylee’s one year and announcing our pregnancy with Kieran. Very special and memorable!
Your kids are literally the cutest, and I have the photos to prove it. What are some of the current things they are doing/saying that you know you don't want to forget during this season of life?
Rylee has always been our outgoing girl and she surprises us everyday with something funny she does or says. She is the hostess with the mostest, and always makes sure everyone is taken care of. Kieran just started walking and he’s never far from his big sister. He loves to chase after the cats and has the best giggle!
You are always on top of booking your milestone sessions. What kind of things have you done to display your photos after receiving your digital images?
Oh goodness! I have made a photo book for each milestone for both kids. They grow so fast in the first year, that I always knew I wanted to do memorialize it somehow and Rachel does such a great job! I also have printed some of my favorites and have them framed throughout my home.
