One of the best parts about being a family photographer (and dabbling in all sorts of other photography) is the opportunity to be a part of some amazing moments and milestones I would not have had the privilege of experiencing otherwise! Today I am sharing the Smebak family. Mackenzie and I met long ago at a dance class and connected easily.
Over the last few years I had the opportunity to take engagement, wedding, maternity, and 1 year birthday photos for these guys. They have been a delight to work with and Mason is truly one of the sweetest and most charming babies I have ever worked with. Being their personal papparazzo has been a highlight of my photography career!
Tell me a little about you and your family! Who are you guys and what do you love to do?
We are Evan and Kenzie Smebak! We both work in the Auto Industry and have a beautiful son named Mason! When we aren't busy working we love exploring and going on adventures with our son!
What is your favorite session so far that we have done?
Such a tough question, because truly each session has been amazing in its own way! We've done 4 sessions with you, and we've grown with each one! Started with our Engagement photos, our Wedding, then our Maternity shoot, and most recently our One Year photos with our son! Each shoot was so much fun! My husband was worried it would feel awkward but you made us so comfortable and everything just flowed so naturally! Our One Year session with our son was so much fun and memorable! We are car people and having our session at the shop and having Mason be a little mechanic like Dad was so meaningful!
What is your favorite part about this season of life that you are in (with having a little toddler always on the go?)
It is so much fun watching our kiddo grow in to his personality! Every day is different and each stage has been more fun than the last! We've always enjoyed going on adventures together and it is even more special to do with our son as a family!!
What are you looking forward to in 2025?
We have a few camping trips planned already, and hope to add a few more! We want to make it to every WI State Park in the next couple of years!
What is the next session that we should do together??
You are stuck with us! We plan to do yearly family sessions!
