This past spring, I held Mom & Me minis at the Lyndale Park Rose Garden in Minneapolis on an idyllic Saturday morning. Did half the population of Minneapolis also have the same idea as us? Well, yes. But you'd never know! (There was even a protest going on nearby... but like I said, you'd never know from the photos!)
Even with the busy and bustling location, my clients and I persisted, shot strategically, and made the most of every blooming tree and scenic spot we could find. Please behold the lovely mamas and their little who came out for these sessions! It's been nearly two months and I'm still swooning over the photos.

One of my truest bluest friends (well, buttery yellow on this day) Kristina loyally signed up and kicked off the day with her crew and her mom!

Elaine and her boys were up next! The Vrieze family just gets cuter by the year and I am just lucky to capture it all!

I was so happy to take photos for Gabby's first Mother's Day with her little boy PJ. I loved seeing him get curious and take in the flowers, trees, and scenery. Motherhood looks beautiful on you, Gabby!

This was my first shoot with Caitlin and her little Zackary. (And Caitlin's first Mother's Day with her new little guy!) Zackary had so much personality and so many expressions, I could have easily hung out with them for far longer than 20 minutes to soak up all that sweetness!

Lastly there was me! My husband and kids surprised me at the end of the shoot day by showing up all cutely dressed and my husband took a few photos of the kids and me together. I was extremely grateful as it's been a few years since any professional family photos. Top notch Mother's Day weekend surprise!
If you haven't visited before, I would definitely recommend checking out the rose garden. We were there for the season of flowering trees and tulips, but in August, the roses will be blooming and it will be a dreamy sight to see.
These types of sessions will always hold a special place in my heart. No matter how I grow/evolve/switch up my business plan, I can't imagine not offering these photos for moms every year!
